For my semester project I did  fashion. I chose to shoot TOMS because so many people wear them  and I wish I had a pair. These are my five favorites. Some were hard to narrow down but others were very easy :) I had so much in this class and learned so much about more then just pictures. Thank you!

The Presidents Photographer

I really enjoyed this documentary. It wasn't boring like most. HA
I didn't realize  that the President's Photographer is just as busy as the president. He goes EVERYWHERE the president goes. I mean i guess i knew that, because we see new pictures everyday, but i didn't know at the same time. does that make sense? i hope so. I learned that the photographer is forced to have a relationship with the president and their family if you want to produce meaningful pictures. Watching this taught me that even if you are an amateur, work your hardest because you never know where your best work will get you :)

BYOB

ISO 200
f/2.8
1/100
I took this picture at the BYOB table during first lunch. I like it because it looks the way I kinda thought it in my head. I stood behind Paul to kinda show what was happening...
ISO 100
f/2.8
1/50
This picture was also taken at BYOB first lunch. I like it because I literally "got my butt dirty" to take it. No, its not blurry. I wanted it this way. I wanted the ice cream boxes to be whats in focus, BUT I also wanted you to see what was going on in the setting.

I have been absent

ISO 800
f/25
1/25 sec
I took this picture because I am hungry. I kneeled  over the table in the publications room and  wanted to focus on the HI-C and the lunchbox. I tried to get the rule of thirds. This was not staged. I moved my body until I got the the frame I wanted.

Black and White

ISO 100
135 mm
f/6.3
1/50 sec
Today I am in a Black and White mood. I'm not sure why. I took this picture behind the Photography Building. I only took it because I haven't updated my blog in a long time. So I walked around outside until I took a picture "blog worthy".

ISO 125
85 mm
f/7.1
1/30 sec
I took this picture because I needed something to do. I took it on a bus, it was open so I did NOT "break" in. I like it because it is not like any other I have taken.

It looks like an angle is looking over the tigers. Its not a favorite, but now I have to post a blog everyday and this is the only one I took this week.

This picture was taken today because I needed a picture for this blog. I kinda like it but I wouldn't like frame it or put it in a contest or anything crazy like that.
ISO 640

This was taken for some assignment. I like it because it isn't normal.

:]

ISO 160
112 mm
f/16
1/125 sec
I took this picture on one of our snow days. I like it because it almost looks fake, and I really like ice cycles.  It wasn't really planned. I was taking other pictures outside and my mom said, "Cari look! Its pretty!" So, I took a picture.
ISO 800
85 mm
f/5.6

This is the back of my mean mean mean neighbor's house. I like this picture because I had to be sneaky to take it :P This one also was not planned.
ISO 800
53 mm
f/4.5
1/60 sec
I was outside playing with my dog when I look up and saw the ice dripping off the chair. I ran inside and  grabbed my camera. I like this picture because I think it looks cool.
ISO 800
28 mm
f/3.5
1/250 sec
I took this picture of Clay during the dress rehearsal for the Miss Texarkana Pageant being held in our school theatre. I like this picture because the depth of field was exactly what I wanted. It would have been cooler if there was something more excited happening on the stage but, whatever I still like it.
ISO 800
28 mm
f/2.8
1/20 sec
I also took this picture at the dress rehearsal for a yearbook assignment. I don't know why I like this picture. I just kinda do! ha

ISO 250
28 mm
f/10
0.8 sec
I took this picture before we left for Christmas break. I used it for my Painting With Light semester test. I like it because I haven't seen one like it (but that doesn't mean there isn't one) I would like it better if she was wearing a solid color shirt.
ISO 1000
126 mm
f/4.0
1/6400 sec
This was for my Book Cover semester project. I took this picture of Morgan and some random freshman I pulled out of class because he had on a grey shirt (like the guy in the picture I saw) I like it because it looks almost identical to the picture I was inspired by.
ISO1000
50 mm
f//2.8
1/160 sec
I took this picture for a yearbook assignment. The choir kids were singing at the nursing home. I like this picture because of the cute old people in the back.
